Choosing the right service and delivery plan
Select the right service
Each service addresses a specific set of requirements, so keep your requirements and challenges in mind when you choose a service; for example, choose Advanced Editing if you want your paper checked for language, but Premium Editing if you want it checked for language as well as structure and flow. If you’re unsure about the right service for your paper, share your expectations with our customer service manager and ask for a recommendation.

What training do your editors and writers receive?
All our manuscript editors and writers go through the Basic Editor Training (BET) program that comprises 5 standard modules and various customized programs. Our medical writers receive specific training in ICH-GCP, CONSORT, and ICMJE guidelines. In addition, all our editors also receive intensive English language training. They attend external training programs and workshops that offer updates on grammar, punctuation, and style for American and British English. - 02
What is the post-service you offer for edited manuscripts?
A. As part of Scientific Editing service, we offer the following post-sales support: (1) Free unlimited Q&A with the editor; (2) Free re-editing support for 12 months if your revised paper meets all of the following conditions:
・ The revised document should be submitted for subsequent rounds within 12 months of the delivery date of the original document.
・The document for which you are requesting re-editing should be the same as that submitted in the first round of editing.
B. You can book a 1-hour call with one of our senior editors to discuss the editing of your paper using the Editor Consultation on Call add on service. This service is chargeable at $200.
C. If you require another round of review from our peer reviewers, do email us and we will initiate a second round of check. This service is chargeable at $200. - 03
Can I change the type of editing service after submission?
Yes, you can change the type of editing service if the editor has not yet begun editing your manuscript. If the editor has already begun editing your manuscript then you will not be able to change the type of service. Please contact your Client Manager if you would like to change the type of editing service. - 04
What are the different English language styles you use while editing?
We can edit as per two English language styles – American English and British English. You can choose your preferred language style in the online submission form. - 05
Do you edit documents in LaTeX and TeX formats?
Yes, we do edit documents in Latex and Tex file formats. After editing, we deliver the final document as a Tex File. In addition, we send a word document that shows the changes we have made to the text and contains the editor's comments and suggestions. Please note that we do not accept LyX files for editing. - 06
Is my information secure with you?
At Editage we respect the confidentiality of research. All our employees are sensitized to the highly confidential nature of documents they handle and are required to sign confidentiality agreements that are indefinitely binding. If required, Editage will also sign confidentiality agreements with you before we embark on any professional relationship. Additionally, our data security processes have been ISO 9001:2008 certified. Since all documents submitted are managed through a secure Online Job Management System, only the editor working on your job and your client manager have access to your information. - 07
Will I be charged for getting my paper re-edited?
No, you will not be charged for re-editing till your paper adheres to these conditions:
・ Your paper was originally edited within 12 months.
・The document for which you are requesting re-editing should be the same as that submitted in the first round of editing.
