Sunaina did her masters and doctorate in plant genetic resources, specializing in the use of molecular markers for genotyping horticultural cultivars. After a brief stint in research and teaching, she embarked on a career of academic editing, consulting, and training. She has helped with the publication of about a hundred papers in high-impact journals for researchers from different countries and has conducted numerous workshops to apprise early-career researchers of tips and tricks for successful writing and publication. Her association with CACTUS in full-time and freelance capacities spans 10 years. She is particularly interested in the evolving scenario of scholarly publishing, as well as ethics and misconduct in research. She is a gardening enthusiast and has a low-key obsession with enjoys watching true crime shows in her free time.
