About the speaker
Shantanu Deshpande, Academic Editor
Shantanu Deshpande is a chemical engineer by pedigree, polymer engineering researcher by training, and expert editor by passion. He has worked on several postgraduate research projects, including one with NASA. At Cactus, he has successfully harnessed his pedantic nature to edit nearly 4.5 million words worth of research papers over three years. He has also won two "Best Contractual Editor in Physical Sciences and Engineering" awards. He typically works on papers related to Physical Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Macromolecular Engineering, Applied Chemistry, and Materials Engineering. In his free time, he torments his family and friends by concocting dreadful puns and pointing out language errors, and exercises to ward off the body ache caused by a “hunchbacked gargoyle” working posture.
