Nature Materials: Quick facts and submission tips
Aims and Scope |
Nature Materials is a multi-disciplinary journal aimed at gathering pioneering research across the whole spectrum of materials science and engineering. The journal includes all applied and fundamental aspects of the synthesis/processing, structure/composition, properties and performance of materials, in which "materials" are substances in the condensed states (liquid, solid, colloidal) designed or manipulated for technological ends. The journal also publishes review articles, news and views, research highlights about significant papers published in other journals, commentaries, correspondence, interviews, and analysis of the broader materials picture. |

EDITORIAL POLICIES & CRITICAL FACTORS FOR PUBLICATION
- The author must prepare their manuscript for a double-blind peer review. See checklist for help: http://www.nature.com/nclimate/pdf/double-blind-checklist.pdf
- Manuscripts that are conceptually similar are typically sent to the same referees in order to hold them to the same editorial standards as much as possible. However, each of the co-submitted manuscripts must meet the criteria for publication without reference to the other paper. If one paper is substantially less complete or convincing than the other, it may be rejected, even if the papers reach the same conclusion.
