I’m a lifelong enthusiast of biological sciences. My favourite place as a child was the Natural History Museum in London, and I could usually be found reading about nature. I graduated with a degree in Molecular Biology & Genetics from Royal Holloway, University of London, and worked for a few years at a reagent company before moving to Japan.
Having lived in Japan for ten years working as a teacher, I work with people of all age groups and backgrounds, helping them to develop their skills and become effective communicators with the global lingua Franca—English.
As a scientific editor, I enjoy the chance to read about many novel ideas. I’m proud of helping researchers communicate their exciting findings and navigate the daunting publishing process. On Editage Insights, I hope to share some knowledge about what I have learned in my editing career as well as in my own reading on the latest in science.
Outside of work, I like fishing in the beautiful Seto Inland Sea, looking after my pet cats and fish, tinkering with computers and my 3D printer, and maybe playing games when I get the time.
