Angela fell in love with the ancient world during her undergraduate degree and never looked back. After spending most of her twenties collecting degrees from various countries, she returned home to Canada for her PhD. After graduating, Angela held a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada at McMaster University from 2017-19. She teaches Latin and Ancient History at York University. Her research focuses on the socio-cultural meanings and constraints of marriage and fertility in the Roman world. Angela has two children who think it's totally normal for their drawing paper to have old Latin quizzes on the other side and who love to put LEGO surprises in her work bag. Her favourite time of the day is when everyone's in bed and she can curl up on the couch with a cup of tea, her cat, and a book that has nothing to do with the Romans.
