The theme for Peer Review Week 2018 is diversity in peer review and includes an interesting range of topics within its scope – inclusion of early career researchers in peer review, gender bias in peer review, geographical distribution of reviewers, etc. Here’s a series of posts dedicated to this year’s event and theme. Are you as excited for Peer Review Week 2018 as we are? This global event is dedicated to encouraging discussions about peer review, which plays a central role in scholarly publishing. The theme for this year’s Peer Review Week is “Diversity and Inclusion,” so all the discussions during the event this year will explore the issues and challenges surrounding this interesting theme.
Editage Insights is one of the Organizing Committee Members of Peer Review Week 2018, and we will be involved in several exciting activities throughout the Peer Review Week 2018 that spans from September 10 to 15.

More about Peer Review Week: A group of organizations came together to set up a global event that would focus on peer review and enable sustained discussions about it. This is the fourth year of Peer Review Week and the organizing committee includes publishers, organizations, and institutions such as Editage Insights, ORCID, ScienceOpen, Sense About Science, Wiley, and Springer Nature.
