 Polyandry among animals—more of a rule than exception

Validating the recent finding that females in the animal kingdom are polyandrous, researchers have found that female fire salamanders mate with several males. What’s novel about this discovery, however, is that this behavior was observed under natural conditions. Read more in Molecular Ecology.
