Mark took his BSc (Econ) Hons first degree and Postgraduate Certificate in Education in UK. Careers in education and social welfare followed. He has a British social welfare counselling qualification. Mark has also been a serial small business entrepreneur.
In 2011, Mark removed to Asia to teach at the University of Jinan in China. Mark now lives in Thailand where he has taken an MBA and a PhD. His main research interests are the food supply chain and artisanal food and beverage production and marketing. He has written extensively in these areas, always seeking to consider the application of his findings for small businesses and suppliers to them and to consider social elements in transactions and pricing ignored in classical economics. Mark particularly enjoys academic publishing and also helping postgraduate students get published.
