Speaker profile: Dr Emma Williams has over 30 years of experience in and around higher education.

She loves working with researchers to help them progress in their careers. She speaks, writes, and conducts training related to researcher development and has worked as a researcher, staff developer and consultant with universities within the UK and overseas. Dr Williams co-authored the book "What Every Postdoc Needs to Know" to help those navigating the tricky early career researcher years. Her decades of experience as a coach, consultant, and women's development trainer helped her create UNIque - an initiative for women in academia and the Successful Researcher Roadmap online courses.

Speaker profile: Priyanka Thali, is an academic publication trainer with a background in both psychology and media and communication.

She is also on the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences (BELS). She has worked with Editage for nearly 13 years. Starting out as an editor, she has garnered years of experience in editing and reviewing manuscripts from a variety of subfields in humanities. She has mentored and trained several senior editors and reviewers, many of whom have gone on to play important roles in the Editing team. Today, she oversees a team of editors and reviewers in one of the largest editing teams at Editage.
