Maria Kristina Gallego is a PhD candidate at the School of Culture, History and Language, College of Asia and the Pacific, at the Australian National University. She is also an Assistant Professor at the Department of Linguistics, University of the Philippines Diliman. Her current research project explores the contact situation between Ibatan and Ilokano on the island of Babuyan Claro in the Philippines.
