Jucelaine is a 39-year-old divorced mum living with her teenage daughter and two dogs (who keep her sane and drive her crazy at the same time)! She is a biologist, with a masters and a PhD in Agricultural Sciences, and her research focuses on sustainable agriculture practices that can help have a positive effect on the environment. She has experience working with entomopathogens, predators and parasitoids in both agricultural and forestry ecosystems. Currently, she is working with insect-plant interactions focusing on plant defense priming and more affordable pest control for small farm holders and toxicity assessment of biological control agents and chemicals to non-target organisms.
