Q: Is it possible to submit a paper to a journal after it has been published in the proceedings of a conference?

My paper has been accepted to be presented in a confernence. But, I'm afraid I'll lose it and won't be able to submit it to a journal after it's published in the conference proceeding

Thank you for your question. Conference papers are often preliminary analyses, and it is acceptable to develop them into full-length manuscripts for publication in journals, as long as at least 30% new material is included.
