Editage conducts a science writing workshop at Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai
On November 13, 2019, Editage conducted a workshop on Comprehensive Science Writing and Communication at PC Saxena Auditorium, Indian Institute of Technology, Powai, Mumbai.
Over 200+ enthusiastic participants who were a mix of doctors and early year researchers attended this workshop. The workshop was led by Dr Shivanee Shah, Publications Manager at Editage; Prof. Arnab Bhattacharya, DCMPMS Tata Institute of Fundamental Research; and Harini Calamur, Content Director, Research Communication Services.
This daylong session began with our trainer Dr. Shah addressing the participants on writing and structuring a research manuscript. Dr. Shah also covered topics on networking and presenting effectively at scientific conferences. The next session had our expert Prof. Arnab Bhattacharya talk about the importance of science communication.
Lastly, our trainer Prof. Harini Calamur talked about science communication and its impact beyond publication.
All the sessions covered under this workshop were informative and interactive. Many participants had their queries answered and shared their feedback on how this workshop solved their doubts on comprehensive science writing and communication. Towards the end, all the attendees received a certificate of participation from Editage.
