I worked for several years in academic editing before moving on to editorial skill and knowledge management and business process improvement. My focus was to bring out the best in large, global teams of copyeditors and empower them to create publish-worthy research papers. During this time, I experienced first-hand the challenges that researchers face at different points in their publication journey. Eventually, I moved to the tech arm of academic publishing, where I now leverage these insights and build products to solve the problems that research writers encounter from idea to draft and through to publication. I am passionate about automation for success and speed, and I’m enjoying very much the process of bringing AI-enabled efficiencies to the publishing sector.
When I’m not busy building features and catching bugs, I spend my time working on my Bucket List, which usually involves learning new things, watching films, travelling to new countries, and catching up on my sci-fi reading list.
