Q: Can I send an inquiry to the journal to check how long does it will take to get the result?
Detailed Question -
I submitted a manuscript to an open access journal, but the status has not been changed from “Under review”. Compared to the process of other authors, the process of my manuscript is obviously slow. Can I make an inquiry to the journal?

Answer:
Thank you for your question! Yes, you can write to the editorial office for an update regarding your manuscript. However, please keep in mind that the review times can vary depending on the availability of peer-reviewers and how fast they get back to the journal with responses. We would recommend waiting at least 1-1.5 months from the time the status changed to "Under Review" before writing to the journal.
Good luck with your manuscript!
