Bio

Sherran has worked in higher education with student writers since 2004, facilitating and teaching courses and workshops for undergraduate and postgraduate students on finding and developing a scholarly voice in their academic writing. Since 2015 this work has shifted to focus on postgraduate student writers and early career researchers. In addition to her blog for postgraduate and postdoctoral writers, she facilitates short courses and retreats on thesis writing and writing for publication. Other aspects of her work and research focus on academic staff development in the fields of teaching, learning and curriculum design. Sherran describes herself as a feminist, a scholar, a lucky wife and mum, an occasional surfer, and an avid bookworm.
