Claire-Marie Nuttegg

PhD researcher

Bio

Working at Manchester Metropolitan University, where I completed an integrated Master’s in Biomedical Science, and moved on to win a full scholarship at the same institution.
I have presented at TCES 2017, Bioinspired 2017/2018, and won a scholarship to attend the #GrapheneFlagship in 2017, where I also presented work on invitrostudies using Graphene oxide. I have presented at and collaborated with Nottingham University, University of Manchester, Science and Technologies Council. I have also collaborated with the Sylvia Pankhurts Centre for Gender And Diversity Research centre and Waterstones (Deansgate), to organise event outreaches for school aged children (7-14yrs) breaking down stereotypes, and promoting the idea of girls in STEM.

I am an associate member of Royal Society of Biology, Royal Society of Chemistry, and SFAM. Also a Member of MMU alumini, and a Transpeninine STEM ambassador. I want to move to a post doc/fellowship, and raise funds for students on a more personal level, so they can be inspired to continue the academic route.
