Q: An error message appears on the homepage after paper submission
It has been two months since I submitted a paper, but when I visit to the journal’s homepage, an error message has appeared for several days. I emailed an inquiry to the address that gave me the receipt confirmation email at the time of paper submission. But there was no reply. In this case, should I send an email requesting the withdrawal of my paper?
Thank you for your question! We understand your dilemma. It is indeed concerning that two months have lapsed without knowing the progress of your submitted manuscript. At times the journal’s webpage may display an error message; however, they are temporary and do not stay for several days, as you mentioned. We recommend you to write to the journal’s Editor-in-Chief, sharing your concern with the screenshot of error message. Depending on their response you may decide if you would like to withdraw the manuscript.
