AAAS collaborates with Editage to make editorial support available to authors submitting to the Science family of journals
(May 4, 2017; Philadelphia, PA, USA) Editage, the global scientific communications company, announced its collaboration with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). AAAS is a leading publisher of cutting-edge research through Science, a family of six respected peer-reviewed journals. Through this collaboration, Editage’s pre-submission editorial services will be available to authors submitting their manuscripts to any of the six Science journals. Editage is partnered with many publishers including WKH, SPIE, IOP, and RUP. In addition to offering editorial services to submitting authors, Editage has collaborated with many of these publishers and conducted educational workshops for ESL authors.
Hannah Heckner, Product Development Associate (AAAS), explained the reason behind the collaboration, “We are glad to let our authors choose the editorial service provider that they prefer. In addition to having a large team of in-house qualified experts, Editage offers access to the largest number of BELS-certified, subject-matter expert editors. Through this collaboration, submitting authors have the option of choosing the best-suited professional to make their manuscript submission-ready.” Nikesh Gosalia, Director, Publisher and Academic Relations, Editage commented, “We are very pleased to collaborate with AAAS and help more researchers and authors expedite the publishing process by helping them submit a perfect manuscript. In addition to making things smoother for journal editors and peer reviewers, publishers can benefit from working with a company that acts as a trusted advisor to thousands of authors worldwide.”
Retractions globally have proven that issues of ethical misconduct such as peer review manipulation need to be tackled at the earliest. Editage believes that partnering with research institutes and universities and training authors to write in scientific English is the most effective approach in addressing these issues.
