Journals using Editorial Manager can now guide submitting authors to Editage
(October 17, 2016; Philadelphia, USA) Partnering with Editorial Manager (EM), the industry-leading manuscript submission and peer-review system by Aries Systems, Editage will offer its editing services at discounted rates to authors submitting their manuscripts to journals using EM. Journal administrators can now make use of an EM functionality to customize their authors’ experience with quick configurations that make available Editage services to authors on the EM Author Main Menu and in the content of journal letters.
Mr. Abhishek Goel, Co-founder and Chief Customer Officer at Editage, Cactus Communications, explained how publishers and journals could benefit: “The competition in the scholarly publications industry is fiercer than ever before. Author-facing journals, especially those accepting English manuscripts from non-native English speaking authors, are looking to guide their authors in the right direction. This option available through EM makes it much easier for journals to direct authors requiring support.”
EM makes several customizable templates available to journal editors for fast and seamless correspondence with authors. Using these templates, journals can tailor their correspondence to authors with ease. Options to include Editage’s banner, logo, and discount coupons are available for workflow events such as new submission and resubmission letters. Authors will also have complete access to resources about publishing on the author education portal Editage Insights at no charge.
