Interview with Rachael Lammey

Rachael Lammey is Product Manager at CrossRef, the non-profit organization that helps the worldwide publishing community with products that enable more efficient persistent linking, searching, updating, and tracking of published manuscripts. In this six-part interview series, Rachael tells us more about the range of services CrossRef offers: DOI (Digital Object Identifier), CrossCheck, CrossMark, FundRef, and a text and data mining service. Rachael also shares her thoughts on technological advancements and challenges in academic publishing. Eventually, she stresses, it is about using technology to introduce efficient publication workflows in ways that are commercially viable and about ensuring that published papers are linked persistently.
